The European Space Agency’s ESA has unveiled the ExoMy, a miniature version of a programmable Mars rover. Exo My is the ExoMars rover, which is scheduled to launch on Mars in 2022, and has been reduced to about 42 cm, so anyone with a 3D printer can print it out and assemble it.
The 6-wheeled Exomai Rover was developed by ESA at the Planetary Robotics Laboratory, which actually develops the design of the planetary rover. The computer uses a Raspberry Pi, and the assembly instructions and source code are available on GitHub.
You need money to procure the materials needed to make EXOMY. The budget is not cheap, around 500 euros. Nevertheless, drills, solar panels, camera masts, etc. are reproduced, and if the camera is as it should be, there are several types of customizable heads that can be replaced.
