Google’s first offline store in New York

On June 17 (local time), Google opened its first permanent offline store, the Google Store, in Chelsea, New York, USA.

The Google Store is used not only for purchasing Google hardware such as Pixel, Nest, and Fitbit, but also for product technical support or as a place to showcase new technologies. In the store, third-party accessories and peripherals such as smartphone cases are also prepared, and products for Google fans such as T-shirts, hats, toys, and basketball related items are also sold.

In addition, the store itself received a platinum grade in the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), an evaluation of the building’s environmental performance. The clerk has a transaction device and can purchase products by linking it with a Google account. In addition, the store has a Here to Help where you can get device support. You can also check the completion of the repair as an alarm or make a reservation.

In addition, a circular glass structure (Imagination Space) has been placed near the main gate, where, for example, Google’s advanced technology can be experienced, such as simultaneous translation into 24 languages. In the future, they plan to hold regular events such as cooking using nests, photography classes using pixels, and YouTube concerts. Related information can be found here.

Through the monthly AHC PC and HowPC magazine era, he has watched 'technology age' in online IT media such as ZDNet, electronic newspaper Internet manager, editor of Consumer Journal Ivers, TechHolic publisher, and editor of Venture Square. I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
