Nvidia announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2022 on November 17 (local time). Overall sales increased by 50% compared to the previous year, including revenues related to games and data centers.
Nvidia reported revenue of $7.1 billion for the third quarter of 2022. By sector, game-related sales increased 42% year-on-year to $3.22 billion, the highest in the past. Data center-related sales also reached a record high of $2.94 billion, up 55% year-on-year. In addition, as Omniverse, the company’s metaverse announced in 2019, was made available to the general public, sales related to visualization increased by 144% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching $577 million.
Nvidia said that it has made progress in each field by emphasizing GPUs that support GeForce NOW, an enhanced cloud gaming service, and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, an Adobe masking function.
Nvidia CEO Jensen-Hwang said that the demand for NVIDIA AI is soaring and that more than 25,000 companies are adopting it. Related information can be found here.
