The AWS DeepRacer is a radio-controlled car announced by Amazon. Of course, rather than a toy, it is an AI autonomous navigation radio for services to Amazon’s AWS engineers. It is a kind of machine learning that allows you to learn reinforcement learning while moving by hand.
This vehicle moves at 4WD. It is made up to one-eighth of the size of the actual vehicle, and AI aims to carry out reinforcement learning through tri-error and to drive precisely.
Programming the AWS deep racer uses a platform for building and training machine learning models (Amazon SageMaker). It includes Intel Atom processor and 4GB of RAM, a camera that supports 1080p resolution, Wi-Fi, and a battery that operates continuously for two hours.
The embedded software includes an operating system called Ubuntu OS 16.04.3 LTS, a robotic operating system called ROS Kinetic, and a computer vision toolkit called Intel OpenVINO that controls visual information.
The developer simulates the 3D simulation through the 3D simulator and runs the algorithm. This allows the AWS deep racer to actually run. AWS will also hold a Deep Racer League next year. The algorithm is more competitive than driving. A team with a good record will be able to advance to the 2019 championship.
The AWS deep racer is already available through Amazon. The price is $ 400. For more information, please click here .
