Paid subscription service for Firefox comes out

Mozilla will launch Firefox Premium, a paid subscription service for Firefox. Mozilla CEO Chris Beard said in an interview.

According to this, Mozilla’s main source of revenue is the search business, which accounts for 90%. But the goal of Firefox Premium is to diversify revenue sources to prevent business risks while building broader relationships with users.

Firefox Premium is scheduled for release in October, but it did not disclose details. Although VPNs and cloud storage possibilities are also suggested, it is not known whether they are one type of subscription service that includes multiple functions or whether they use separate services.

Mozilla says it is carefully examining which model is best for ensuring the highest level of user safety. He added that many security features and services, such as Firefox and Enhanced Tracking Protection (ETP), will continue to be offered free of charge.

In October, Mozilla partnered with Proton VPN (ProtonVPN) in a small group to test the $ 10 a month VPN service. One of the premium services that will be delivered in October is expected to be this VPN. For more information, please click here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
