Google announced on October 16 (local time) that it will launch a support function when users need information about the presidential polling place in the United States through Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Search.
For example, if you search for a polling place near you in Google search, it will switch to a dedicated tool for that information, and if you enter your polling address, it finds and displays the polling place and location. If you search for words like how to find polling place or polling place, the same tool pops up as well.
If you have a Nest Mini, Nest Hub, or Android smartphone that supports Google Assistant, if you ask where to vote by voice, the Google Assistant will guide you based on your current location information.
Support within the map is limited, but information is still available. When you enter where to vote in the Google Maps mobile app, you will be taken directly to the web-based Google search results, and when you tap the directions button to find your polling place, you will be returned to the app.
Google announced that it will provide location information through the Voting Information Project as part of a partnership with Democracy Works. More polling place information will be added for Election Day to bring more than 200,000 polling places into the system. Related information can be found here .
