“Smart speaker market to grow by 21% in 2021”

According to data from market research firm Canalys, the number of smart speaker shipments in China in 2020 is increasing significantly. The market is growing this year while controlling the corona 19 epidemic over the past few months. However, in other regions of the world where the war on the virus continues, the growth rate is expected to be only 3% this year.

According to Canalis, the smart speaker market is expected to grow again, reaching 163 million units by 2021, growing by 21%. In addition to the necessities, although the purchase trend is slowing, in many areas there is a possibility that more consumers will bring new devices into their homes or exchange old and old equipment by ban or refrain from going out.

Amazon, Google, and Apple both announced additional smart speaker products. Google recently renewed its home device brand and introduced new hardware and a new product called Nest Audio. The Amazon Echo was also updated, and Apple announced the HomePod mini.

According to Canalis, Apple is the only company among the three major US companies to sell smart speakers in mainland China, and the new pricing could help Apple gain more share in the market. It is analyzed that the price point of $99 is enough to appeal to Apple’s customer base in China. Apple is using this opportunity to promote the dissemination of home-watched music and other services. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
