Tough but light and inexpensive… Portable SSD

The iCruserSSD is a portable SSD with all three beats: sturdy, lightweight, and low cost. The capacity is 2TB and the transfer speed is 1150MB/sec. This speed is faster than the 1050MB/sec of Samsung Electronics’ T7, which has a reputation as a portable SSD, and is twice that of the T5, a model down one level. The measured speed is also close to 1,000MB/sec.

It measures 64×28×9.5mm and weighs 35g. It is about a third the size of the T7. It’s smaller than SanDisk’s Extreme Portable Series. It also has IP55 waterproofing and toughness that can withstand 1,000 drop shocks. The interface supports USB 3.2 Gen2 and the flash type is 3D TCL NAND.

This product also raised funds through Kickstarter, a crowdfunding site. More information on the product can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
