PAL-V Liberty, the world’s first folding propeller developed by Dutch PAL-V and capable of driving and flying, has been granted permission to run on EU public roads.

The PAL-V Liberty is a flying vehicle that can fly with a 197 horsepower flight engine and a folding propeller, and a 100 horsepower engine and three-wheeled tires that can drive the distance. The propeller can be automatically unfolded or folded and can be changed from driving mode to flight mode in 5-10 minutes.

These PAL-V Liberty passed road driving permit tests such as a quick curve test, brake test, and exhaust gas inspection, and received a road driving permit in Europe, and the Dutch Motor Vehicle Administration issued a license plate. This product has a maximum speed of 180km/h in both driving and flying, and the range is 1,315km when driving, the flight time is 400-500km, and the continuous flight time is 4.3 hours. The number of passengers is 2.

In order to obtain permission to drive on the road, the Dutch Motor Vehicle Authority has conducted all quality standards inspections of the production process. In addition, PAL-V Liberty must pass tests by the European Aviation Safety Agency to obtain a flight permit. The company says it will solve all problems by 2022.

The sale price of the PAL-V Liberty is 500,000 euros. It is said that they have already completed the contract and deposit for their 30s on the news that they have received the road driving permit. Related information can be found here .
