Harley-Davidson launches electric bike

Harley-Davidson enters the electric bike market in March 2021. The first product, Serial 1, features fat white tires, a black frame, and a brown leather saddle, and a design that expresses homage to Harley-Davidson’s first motorcycle (1903/04 Serial Number One).

Early motorcycles were basically bikes with motors with small engines on them. It was an engine assist bicycle. The Hyundai Electric Assist Bike also makes little difference except for the power source. Therefore, Harley-Davidson’s first electric bike may not feel uncomfortable even when expressing praise for the design of the first motorcycle model.

Of course, I did not forget to adopt the rear disc brake and update the driving chain belt, stability and comfort to the present level. Serial 1 is released through the Serial 1 Cycle Company, which was created as a Harley-Davidson R&D program. The world changed significantly after Harley-Davidson first powered bicycles in 1903, and he explained that he hopes this product will change the world of bicycles again, inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of the founder.

Pricing or detailed specifications for the Serial 1 are not yet known, but it will sell for thousands of dollars. Harley-Davidson said in a press release that the e-bike market is expected to grow by more than 6% per year between 2020 and 2025 to reach $15 billion in 2019. The serial 1 website is running a countdown for November 16th. New information can be disclosed, such as price announcements on the day or reservation reception. I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
