Google announced on October 29 (local time) that a VPN has become available on Google One, a cloud service. You can use it at no extra cost if you are subscribed to a 2TB or more plan. First, it will be available for Android in the U.S. and will be available in more regions, iOS, Windows and Mac in the coming months.
Google One has built-in features, but all online traffic is encrypted no matter which browser and application you use on your Android device. Also, in Google One, up to 5 people can share services with their family, but the family can also use a VPN.
Even if a VPN is used to enhance communication security, many consumers do not know what a VPN is or how to use it. Therefore, Google is also adding a Pro Session service that teaches about VPN through 1:1 online sessions with experts. Like a VPN, you can use it for free with a 2TB plan or more.
For VPN services, Mozilla announced a $5 monthly Mozilla VPN in July, but the service doesn’t include cloud storage. Google One is 2TB for $10 per month, but it is advantageous in that you can use a VPN without using other services. Related information can be found here .
