China’s Smartisan has announced a smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. The JianGuo R2, announced on October 20, is a major product with accessories that expand the use of smartphones.
The Jianguo R2 has a 6.67-inch display that runs at a resolution of 2340×1080 and 90Hz, a 4,510mAh battery, and the camera is equipped with a 13 million-pixel wide-angle, 8-megapixel triple-telephoto, and a 5-megapixel macro. The price is 4,999 yuan for 8GB+128GB and 6,499 yuan for 16GB+512GB, depending on the memory and storage configuration.
The operating system adopts Smartisan OS, a unique UI that features icons floating on tiles that penetrate the background. Smartisan OS 8.0 detects light and supports sophisticated effects such as shadows following the app icon according to the direction of the light.
Smartisan’s direction is a high-end mobile computer. The company also announced Smartisan TNT go, a 2in1 PC-style notebook, in line with the announcement of Jianguo R2. There are two versions of this product, wired and wireless. The wired version connects to Jianguo R2 with a USB Type-C cable, and the wireless version connects with Wi-Fi. The price is 1,999 yuan for the wired version, and 2,999 yuan for the wireless version.
The specification is a 12-inch screen that supports 10-point multi-touch at a resolution of 2160 × 1440, and a 5-megapixel f2.0 camera that supports AI face authentication is added. The battery is 10,160mAh and supports 35W quick charging. It also came with dual microphones and speakers. There are two USB ports, one of which is for video input. It measures 275.5×190.8×7.2mm, weighs 619g wired and 639g wireless.
The keyboard is a dedicated product and is connected to the display side with a dedicated contact. There is a stand on the back of the display body, so it can be used in the same form as the MS surface. There is also a storage space for the stylus pen inside the stand. The stylus pen is USB Type C rechargeable. The optional keyboard is 699 yuan and the stylus is 499 yuan.
When Gianguo R2 is connected to Smartisan TNT go, it runs TNT OS 2.0 through a dedicated desktop UI. In an interface similar to Windows 10, Jianguo R2 built-in apps move to a free window size in multi-windows. You can also display calendars and notifications on the right side of the screen.
