In addition, the share of x86 CPU for notebooks excluding the Internet of Things was 20.2%, up 0.3% from the previous quarter and 5.5% from the same period last year. This is also an increase in market share for 12 consecutive quarters. The highest market share in the past broke the record once more at 19.9% in the second quarter of 202.
The share of AMD client x86 CPUs excluding IoT is also 20.2%. This is an increase of 0.5% from the previous quarter and 4.3% from the same period last year. It is also the highest number since the second quarter of 2011. These figures are a record set before the Ryzen 5000 series entered the market, and there is also a forecast that AMD will increase its market share to 25% by taking the Ryzen 5000 series as a good wind in 2021.
