I made AI track a soccer ball…

Scottish football team Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC (ICTFC) introduced a ball-tracking system using AI instead of a human photographer. However, the AI only tracked the referee’s bald head, not the ball.

The video is Air United FC. Perhaps because of the strong backlight, both the ball and the head of the referee flash. This technology is a streaming platform that uses the Pixellot camera system installed at the ICTFC Stadium and programs AI to track the ball and broadcasts the game live in HD quality.

When you watch the video, you can just laugh, but from the point of view of the fan, you cannot see the moment chasing a goal, and you are only looking for a bald head. For reference, the season pass is £246 for adults, which is £9.99 if you watch only one game.

It is not known how the system will be improved in the future, but some suggest that bald people should wear a hat or a wig. Just in case, you can try to prevent reflection with a hat using Venta Black, a black paint that absorbs up to 99.965% of visible light. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
