The opening of Extreme E, an electric off-road racing competition, will take place in March 2021, which is later than scheduled.
Originally, the Senegal Dakar Series 1st leg was scheduled to be held on January 23, 2021, but the first match was held in Saudi Arabia on March 20-21, and the Dakar Round, scheduled for May 29-30 and May 14-15, disappeared. Instead, it was held in Patagonia, Argentina on December 11-11. In addition, the Brazilian racing was adjusted to October 23-24, a week earlier.
According to Extreme E’s data, the reason for the schedule change was that the Corona 19 situation partially affected. In addition, the disappearance of the Nepal War is said to be a plan to continue to be held after the next season.
Extreme E is one of its objectives to protect the environment. In addition to extreme climates such as deserts, rainforests, glaciers, and other extreme climates, global warming and other places with remarkably high impacts will be selected as major venues to broaden understanding and appeal to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
