Shiny seat belt buckle, why?

Founded in 1895, Czech car maker ŠKODA acquired a world patent for a shiny seat belt buckle. To solve the problem of confusion about where the buckle is between the rear seats and which seat is, with a shiny buckle.

This system is designed to spread the LED light inside by using transparent plastic on the button part. A weight sensor is built into the seat, so it glows red when a person sits first, turns green when a belt is connected, and glows white when safety is confirmed. The color changes according to the state.
