Google begins beta testing of RCS end-to-end encryption

On November 19 (local time), Google announced that it will finish global deployment of RCS (Rich Communication Service), a next-generation text message service, and start beta testing for end-to-end encryption as the next step.

RCS is supported by the Android standard messaging app as a chat function. However, the condition is that the other party must also be able to use the chat function. Until now, it can only be used between Androids. To implement end-to-end encryption for this chat function, first distribute encryption in 1:1 chat and start beta testing in November. This is a natural step considering that privacy is protected as well as end-to-end encryption in its rival iOS iMessage. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
