Aeklys is a smart ring for contactless payment, admission, boarding, and digital business card exchange, created in collaboration with famous designer Philippe Starck and French startup ICARE TECHNOLOGIES.

This product, when linked with a smartphone-only app, allows you to solve all of the things such as getting on a train or bus, paying at a store, unlocking the door, etc. One of the features is that it has an antibacterial coating and IP57 waterproof treatment, and it does not have a built-in battery, so there is no need to charge it. It also works without a phone or network. It stores encrypted with AES-256 bits and exchanges data at NFC 13.56MHz, a wireless communication technology.

Because these products require paper passports or plastic cards, they can also help with environmental issues. Of course, in the future, the form of inserting such a chip into the body or attaching it like a sticker may be the ultimate, but a wearable form such as a ring or bracelet may also be a means to increase convenience.
