Login implementation open source authentication platform’Super Token’

Services that can implement a login function on a website include Oszero (Auth0), Amazon Cognito, and Firebase, but none of them are open source. SuperTokens, developed by Hacker News as open source under the support of Y Combinator, is software that aims to replace these products.

Zeroos (OAuth) is a standard for authorization that many websites comply with because it allows flexible allocation of accessible resources to applications. Zeroos can be integrated into software using authentication platforms such as Oszero, Amazon Cognito, and Firebase.

Although authentication platforms exist, most of the source code is private, and there are barriers to integrating into open source software. Super Token, developed with the support of Y Combinator, is an open source and Java product authentication platform that can be hosted on a personal server. Super Token aims to replace the existing platform with the philosophy that the developer who properly abstracts the work can control the software and the developer does not depend on the organization providing the platform.

With Super Token, you can easily implement login and session management functions on your website. Although not yet supported, plans are also being introduced in the future, such as a subscription status analysis function, login screen customization function, user management function, and SNS account login function. A video using super tokens in the JavaScript framework React can also be released to help with development.

As for the fee system, it is free regardless of usage when hosted on a private server. If you use the Super Token hosting service, up to 5,000 active users is free, and if it exceeds that, $29 per month is added per 5,000 users. More information on Super Tokens can be found here .

Through the monthly AHC PC and HowPC magazine era, he has watched 'technology age' in online IT media such as ZDNet, electronic newspaper Internet manager, editor of Consumer Journal Ivers, TechHolic publisher, and editor of Venture Square. I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
