Wall-mounted audio commemorating 100 years of Brown

Brown is a well-known brand in the field of electric shavers, electric toothbrushes, and epilators. Brown like this celebrated its 100th anniversary. In commemoration, in collaboration with fashion designer Virgil Abloh, in 1964, he reprinted the classic radio control unit TS45, the open reel TG60, the speaker L450, and the wall-mounted audio Wandanlage, which was built with turntable PCS5.

Virgil Abloh is the Louis Vuitton Menswear Director, the founder and design legend of the Italian brand off-white. The function and design remain the same, but most of the parts were chrome-plated to increase the durability as well as the appearance.

In the heyday of digital audio, analog record open reels and radios may be too old ideas. However, Virgil Abloo said that functional art is a collaboration that pursues the possibilities of good design, saying that functional art has inherited a simple, convenient, and excellent design.
