Marketing company Sensor Tower announced that the total sales of PUBG Mobile, a popular battle royale game for smartphones, exceeded $5 billion, and at the same time, the official page of PUBG Mobile also announced a breakthrough of 1 billion downloads.
According to Sensor Tower, PUBG Mobile and Game for Peace, the Chinese version of this work, posted sales of $2.7 billion in 2020 alone, with total sales reaching $5.1 billion. In terms of sales in 2020, it is estimated to be 7.4 million dollars a day, exceeding that in the first quarter of 2021. Looking at the sales trend from the first quarter of 2020 to the first quarter of 2021, there was a temporary slump in the fourth quarter of 2020, but the trend was regained in the first quarter of 2021.
Like other games, it was the Corona 19 virus that brought the good news of PUBG mobile. By country, China is driving the strong PUBG mobile. According to Sensor Tower, the sales of Game Four Pieces are $2.8 billion, which is 55.4% of the total, and PUBG mobile sales are $2.3 billion. Outside of China, the United States ranked second with 12.7%, followed by Japan with 4.8%.
