By July 4, 2021, President Biden is setting up a variety of initiatives to ensure that 70% of adults in the United States get at least one vaccine. As one of these, it has announced that it will start a program that allows anyone to get to the vaccination site for free by partnering with the dispatch services, Lift and Uber.
President Biden announced on May 11 that local universities in the United States will be vaccination sites to promote national vaccination. These efforts are aimed at linking local colleges and pharmacies so that students, faculty, and local residents can immunize. It also makes billions of dollars of additional funding available to promote vaccination.
Along with this, it also announced a new program in partnership with Rift and Uber. The affiliate program provides a free shuttle from home to 80,000 vaccination sites nationwide using the Rift and Uber apps. Users simply select a vaccination site near their home from the app and follow simple instructions to wait and board. The program will start in the next two weeks and will continue until July 4th.
Vaccination is underway in the United States, but demand for vaccination has declined in recent weeks. It can be said that society needs to increase the vaccination rate in order to escape the corona19 pandemic and return to its original state, but the decline in demand is a barrier. The new program is to provide information on 80,000 vaccination sites nationwide through Rift and Uber as a way to eliminate barriers.
According to Rift and Uber, the free transportation is not funded by the government. Meanwhile, as the number of users for Rift and Uber is decreasing due to the epidemic, it can be seen that this free shuttle is expected to secure new users in addition to recovering the service utilization rate of existing users.
