Parallels Desktop 17 for Mac, a virtualization tool that allows Macs to run various operating systems, including Windows, has been released.
This version strengthens various functions such as hardware and operating system expansion, performance improvement, and seamless connection between operating systems. It also supports macOS 12 Monterey and Windows 11, which will be released in the future. MacOS 12 Monterrey supports both host and guest after the official release, and is supported after the official release of Windows 11.

However, in the case of Windows, it is necessary to prepare the Windows 10 Insider Preview that supports ARM CPUs. It is also worth remembering that while Intel Mac supports various operating system virtualization, M1 Mac is limited to ARM64 operating system as well as Windows.
In terms of performance, using this version of Parallels, Windows and Linux startup on all Macs were reduced by up to 38%, and OpenGL graphics increased by 25% and 2D graphics by 25% compared to the previous version. In addition, Windows 10 Insider Preview on Mac based on M1 chip reduced by 33%, disk performance by 20%, and DirectX graphics performance by 28%. In Intel-based Macs, it is said that the virtual machine network performance has been reduced by 60% since macOS Big Sur.

New features include setting the optimal performance for each Mac, responding to shutdown, installing updates, and displaying windows when logging in, adding text and graphics drag and drop beyond operating system applications. Related information can be found here.
