Samsung Electronics 49-inch curved monitor with mini LED

The Odyssey Neo G9 is a 49-inch curved gaming monitor that adopts the Quantum Mini LED announced by Samsung Electronics on July 27th.

Samsung Electronics also released the 49-inch Odyssey G9 in 2020. As the name suggests, this product is a mini LED version of the last model. This is a change from the existing quantum QLED to the quantum mini LED. Samsung Electronics is launching the Neo QLED series for LCD TVs equipped with mini LEDs in 2021, and is adopting this technology.

By adopting the mini LED, the contrast ratio has greatly increased from 2,500:1 to 1 million:1. With 12-bit gradation, 2,048 steps of dimming, and HDR 2000 support, the maximum brightness is 2,000 nits, providing high contrast and clear images.

In addition, almost the existing resolution is 5120×1400 dual QHD, the joint ratio is 1000R, and the refresh rate is 1ms at 2400Hz, which is a game specification. Of course, it also supports Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
