Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9000, an SoC for smartphones. According to this, Dimension City 9000 is the world’s first SoC using 4nm manufacturing process. In addition, it is a high-performance SoC with the latest technology, such as a CPU that adopts the Armv9 architecture.
The official page of Dimension City 9000 is appealing that it is a SoC manufactured in TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process. It is evaluated that it is the first time MediaTek has been positioned at the cutting edge of the manufacturing process since the 20nm era.
In addition, the Dimension City 9000 is equipped with the Cortex-X2, Cortex-A710, and Cortex-A510 CPUs adopting the Armv9 architecture announced in May 2021 for the first time in the world. In addition, the ARM flagship GPU, Mali-G710, is also installed, so it exhibits high gaming performance.
The image processing processor ISP installed in Dimension City 9000 can transmit data at 9 gigapixels per second and supports a 320 megapixel image sensor. Of course, it also supports 5G communication and is equipped with the latest wireless technology, such as supporting Bluetooth 5.3 for the first time as a smartphone SoC.
