Bluetooth 5.1 (Bluetooth 5.1) is the next generation Bluetooth standard that is under development. Bluetooth 5.1, however, plans to dramatically increase its position sensing capabilities. Of course, it is still used for tracker purposes as a loss prevention tag for position detection. When you attach a Bluetooth tag to a key or purse, you can detect the signal and see if it is in the water.
But this is only possible within a few meters. I can see what’s in the room, but I do not know where it is in the room. However, Bluetooth 5.1 devices can detect the direction of the emission signal and the accuracy of position information detection will be in cm. I can tell exactly where the key is.
If you install a Bluetooth beacon on a display such as a museum, you can provide information by illuminating a smart phone, capture ID card or smartphone Bluetooth signal, and accurately obtain location information indoors.
The Bluetooth 5.1 specification is still open to developers. To take advantage of these new features, time is still needed as long as a supported device is available. It is expected to be a promising change as the range of applications such as indoor search seems to be wide. For more information, please click here .
