Deepfake, Salvador Dali revived with AI

Salvador Dali is a man who is said to be a genius artist who survived from 194 to 1989. The odd episodes he left behind also show that he is a geek. The Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA, applied AI to Dali’s own image on a huge vertical screen during the Dali exhibition. It is a deep fake synthesis of the facial expression learned through machine learning on the face played by an actor resembling a body shape.

In her lifetime, she said that if she died, she would not die completely. The resurrection like this 30 years after his death can be said to have a new meaning when considering his remarks.

According to Dali Museum’s explanation, this event was held to commemorate 115 years of age. In contrast, it is said that AI learned hundreds of interviews and recorded videos he left during his lifetime so that he could hear about his own life firsthand.

Until now, there have been many cases of misuse through deep fakes, such as changing the face of an actor. However, if it is such an application for art or culture, we can think of the new value of Deepfake. Related information can be found here .

Through the monthly AHC PC and HowPC magazine era, he has watched 'technology age' in online IT media such as ZDNet, electronic newspaper Internet manager, editor of Consumer Journal Ivers, TechHolic publisher, and editor of Venture Square. I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
