Harley Davidson motorcycles have been admired by everyone at least once, but you need to get a large two-wheeled license to ride them. However, Harley-Davidson is expected to launch a motorcycle with a lower displacement of 338cc in 2020 in cooperation with Qianjiang Motorcycle in China. It is much lighter than the existing Harley-Davidson that exceeds 1,000cc.
According to reports, the type is a water-cooled parallel twin scrambler, and it is the first model to be introduced for the Chinese and Asian markets, which are expected to lead the motorcycle market in the future. Harley-Davidson also aims to increase its global business to 50% of its annual sales by 2027. Of course, we plan to ensure compliance with strict quality standards and testing procedures.
Chenjiang Motorcycle is a company under the Geely Group. The Geely Group is also the parent company of China’s Geely Automobiles, Volvo and Lotus. Foreign media estimates that the new 338cc is based on Benelli’s 300cc TNT300 based on the acquisition of the motorcycle maker Benelli in 2005 by Chenjiang Motorcycle. The 338cc only has images, but the exhaust pipes, truss frames, and swing arms that are obliquely projected by two parallel cylinders are quite similar.
If this is correct, it could be a strange combination of Harley-Davidson’s American brand based on an Italian model made in China. Related information can be found here .
