Minecraft stopped developing Super Duper graphics pack

Minecraft maker Mojang announced the suspension of development of the Super Duper Graphics Pack, a real graphics update that was announced in 2017. The reason is that there are too many technical requirements. Mojang said that it was difficult to expect satisfactory performance from the update depending on the device.

The Super Duper Graphics Pack aims to more realistically express the existing block-by-block screens such as highlighting the corners of blocks supported by Xbox One, reproducing sunlight scattering phenomena that occur in the atmosphere such as sunsets and blue skies, and shaking water. It wasn’t just about improving the graphics, it was also an ambitious plan to replace the system core and switch to a new version on all systems except the PlayStation 4.

However, Mojang said it is not stopping all graphic updates, but is considering other ways to experience Minecraft in a new way in the future. They are considering making the most of the technology architecture for each platform. He added that details will be released soon. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
