Amazon “donate unsold inventory to charity”

Amazon has warehouses around the world and smooths the delivery process. Not all products in these Amazon warehouses are sold. There is a problem that huge unsold products occur. Amazon announced a program to donate to charities rather than throw away products that other companies could not sell.

What Amazon announced is a program called Fulfilled by Amazon Donations (FBA) Donations. The program allows sellers who have joined the FBA who leave their products to Amazon’s logistics bases to easily donate unsold products that they want to dispose to charities through Amazon.

FBA Donation explains that it is donating unsold products to charities in the US and UK. In this process, Amazon cooperates with an organization (Good360) that supports businesses donating unnecessary products to charities.

Until now, Amazon has been throwing away products that other sellers could not sell. However, there have also been movements to criticize Amazon’s attitude toward a lot of waste. In May, foreign media reported that Amazon warehouses in the UK and France were scrapping bulk products. In France, it is said that 3 million TVs were scrapped last year alone.

Amazon said it is pleased to offer a charitable donation program to FBA sellers, saying it will be able to deliver the product to people who need it, to change lives and benefit the community. FBA donations are scheduled to start in the US and UK from September 1. For third-party companies that sell products on the marketplace, donating scrap products is a basic option. Amazon’s goal is to reduce waste and enable businesses to dispose of unsold inventory in an environmentally friendly and affordable way. Related information can be found here .
