Smart phone lock screen like a smart display…

Google has announced Ambient Mode, a new feature of Google Assistant, in time for IFA 2019 held in Berlin, Germany.

Ambient mode is to display notifications on the device lock screen while charging tablets and smartphones, or to view an interface for operating smart home devices. I say, it allows you to use your tablet or smartphone like a smart display. It’s like the show mode on the Amazon Fire tablet. Of course, it can also be used as a digital picture frame.

However, this mod isn’t available on all Android devices right now. What is available right now is limited to the Lenovo SmartTap M8 HD, Lenovo Yoga SmartTap, and Nokia 7.2 and 6.2 announced during the IFA period. It is also expected to be available on the Pixel 4, the next smartphone released by Google. We didn’t mention other supported devices, but feature updates may be possible.
