Russian drone with built-in shotgun

Almaz Antey, a Russian state-run military company, has obtained a patent for a drone equipped with an interceptor shotgun. This drone aims to shoot suspicious drones in flight. It is equipped with a 12-round automatic shotgun in a form capable of vertical takeoff.

This drone was developed by Almaz Antey Moscow Aviation Research Institute and is based on a drone used for facility inspection, mines, and farms. I chose a shotgun rather than a pistol or rifle because it was suitable for shooting down birds, so I mounted it with the butt and handle parts removed.

Operators can manipulate the camera image while wearing a visor, and aim at the target through the display panel in the center. The drone can fly continuously for 40 minutes, making it possible for a fairly long mission.

Of course, the drone is still demo level. However, it is said that this product itself is intended to shoot down anti-drones, but some point out that it can carry explosives and may be used as a lethal weapon against enemy troops or facilities. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
