Bitcoin anonymous remittance technology is increasing

Transactions using an anonymous remittance technology called CoinJoin increased to 4.09% of all Bitcoin payments. These findings are based on data published by Longhash.

CoinJoin aims to improve the anonymity of the sender by collecting and mixing bitcoin remittance information at once. According to Adam Fiscor, CTO of Wasabi Wallet that uses CoinJoin, the share of bitcoin payments occupied every month since the launch of Wasabi Wallet in August 2018 has increased from 1.31% to 4.09%.

CoinJoin’s popularity is increasing as government agencies around the world receive corporate support to monitor fraudulent transactions on the blockchain. Meanwhile, the so-called anonymous call is also highly criticized. A high-ranking French official recently made a statement that anonymous calls would be banned, and China introduced a new regulation that excludes anonymity for blockchain companies that do business in their country.
