However, the extended tactile glove STAG (scalable tactile glove) developed by the MIT research team is said to be able to expect high resolution by installing 550 sensors while suppressing this with about 10,000 won of a material available on the market.
At first glance, STAG seems to be a simple knitted glove. However, the conductive polymer was laminated and 550 sensors were embedded in the palm or finger.
It is said that if you hold an object while wearing the STAG, the pressure signal data is interpreted by a neural network to identify the object with 76% accuracy. In addition, if it is an object within 60g, the weight can be predicted.
