Compact all-in-one furniture that transforms into a motor

Logan is a mechanical furniture system introduced by IKEA in partnership with American furniture startup Ori Living.

This product looks like a bed with an integrated desk and wardrobe, which was once popular as children’s furniture. However, the biggest difference is that the large body can be moved by the operation of a switch. Depending on the activity, the living room side or the bed side can be adjusted widely.

Logan also supports Tradfri, a smart light bulb, by embedding Ori Living’s robotic platform in IKEA’s storage furniture, Plasta.

This product can help to increase the utilization of small spaces. According to IKEA, 8m2 of living space can be further saved. Rather than making the furniture smaller, it adds the ability to transform it as needed. The idea is that you don’t need a sofa when you’re sleeping, and you don’t need a bed when using a closet.

The product is expected to start selling in Hong Kong and Japan first. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
