Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), which allow another neural network to evaluate an image created by one neural network, generate advanced images in the process. But what if we disable the neural network one by one each time we artificially create an image using this technology.

If you look at the video (What I saw before the darkness), you can see the visuals that look like real humans are slowly decaying as they die. The background is, of course, accompanied by a philosophical and artistic concept. As they gradually change their shape, they become like a mummy. The first woman is a non-existent person created by AI, and it looks as if she is aging and changing after death.

The author compares this project to painting with only a blurry impression due to the weakening of Claude Monet’s eyes for later years. The network that connects the eye and the brain gradually experiences change, and we live without knowing this. The disconnection of neurons one by one makes it feel as if AI suffers from dementia.
