Samsung Electronics has disclosed information on Exynos 9825.
The Exynos 9825 is the first smartphone SoC made through a 7nm manufacturing process using EUV lithography. Like the 9820, it combines a Cheetah M4 core with a Mali-G76 GPU. The communication function is 4G LTE up to 2Gbps, and it also comes with a neural processing unit (NPU) for AI and AR processing. Since the processor does not support 5G, depending on the model, it is possible to install the Exynos Modem 5100, a 5G modem.
According to foreign media, the Exynos 9820 was mainly installed on the Galaxy S10 sold in Korea, but was less efficient than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mounted on the Galaxy S10 sold in the United States. However, the 9825, following the 9820, has the same performance as the Snapdragon and has also improved power efficiency. However, the Exynos 9825 is expected to be installed on the domestic Galaxy Note 10 and will continue to adopt Snapdragon for models sold in the US or overseas.
