Nintendo UK has announced that it will adopt the Brawl Smash Brothers Special for classes at schools across the UK in partnership with Digital Schoolhouse, an educational support program funded by the UK government.
Currently, Digital School House is being offered to 55 schools across the UK, and 32,000 students are expected to experience the Great Brawl Smash Brothers Special. In addition to receiving computing education through games, it is said that a national competition will be held with the support of Nintendo.
Digital School House has previously expanded nationwide through support for the video game industry including Sega and Ubisoft. This time, Nintendo was welcomed as a new partner. Nintendo UK welcomed the collaboration with Digital School House and explained that the educational program here promotes computing, enjoyment, creativity and innovation, which is at the center of Nintendo’s values.
It is said that the scheduled Great Brawl Smash Brothers Special National Tournament will be held like a real e-sports game. It is said that students will not only compete as players but also take charge of team management and production, so that students can experience comprehensive experiences such as cooperation with colleagues and organization management.
Of course, there is still a lot of resistance to e-sports in the educational field, but in the United States, NHFS, the American State High School Association, announced a plan to adopt it for American high schools. Even in the world, professional gamers are widely known for their profession. Related information can be found here .
