Video chat on TV… Facebook Portal TV

Facebook announced a new model of the video chat terminal Portal, which was launched in 2018, and Portal TV, which enables video chat by connecting to a TV.

The portal is a smart display device that can use Alexa, a voice assistant, and can use Facebook Messenger for video chat.

This time, the redesigned 10-inch terminal, Portal, 8-inch terminal, Portal Mini, and three types of portal TVs connected to TV. Portal TV connects to the TV with an HDMI cable and logs in to a Facebook account to enable video chat using Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. The size is 190mm in width and 32mm in height, and it looks like a thinly reduced terminal of Microsoft’s Kinect.

Portals cost $179, Portal Mini $129, and Portal TV $149. With WhatsApp, you can make calls with your smartphone and you don’t have to use a pair of handsets, but you can get a $50 discount if you buy two at the same time.

Available regions are the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Australia and New Zealand. Related information can be found here .
