An inventor named Ian Charnas succeeded in hacking into his car wiper and syncing it with the music in the car. The rhythm and music of the windshield wiper are synchronized. It may seem simple, but it is not. Skills such as engineering and programming and vehicle hacking used to upgrade the wiper are impossible without considerable knowledge and experience. It’s also worth remembering that these modifications can of course be dangerous and make things like manufacturer warranties impossible.
Of course, this is not a practical hack. The wiper blade speed varies with the amount of rain. It is difficult to move quickly when it is drizzle or move at leisurely intervals in a storm. When synced to music playing in the car, the wiper movement is also affected by the playlist. This means that it may not be suitable in bad weather conditions.
Anyway, the inventor auctioned off eBay for the intellectual property rights for the system that synchronizes the wiper with music, and won a bid for $358. Although the successful bidder is unclear, the patent application ownership is transferred, so if a car-related company purchases it, the retrofit kit may be commercialized.
