The Light Drive system is a module for smart glass released by Bosch. It is said that it will make its first debut during CES 2020 and start offering it for businesses from 2021.
The light drive is equipped with MEMS mirrors, optical components, sensors, and an on-board processor, but is 45-75mm long and weighs less than 10g. In addition to its compact and lightweight design, it does not require a display and camera, so you can expect a sophisticated smart glass design.
Information projects a ray onto the retina, so you can always see a clear image. The brightness can be adjusted, and it is said to be clear and bright even under direct sunlight. It is said to be suitable for applications such as messages and navigation, to-do lists and shopping lists that display minimal information.
Although a large number of smart glasses have been released until now, they were far from popularization in terms of size and price. In this respect, the light drive may create an opportunity for small and sophisticated smart glasses. Related information can be found here .
