Microsoft ended support for Windows 7 on January 14th. Afterwards, for users who regularly announced that they would not provide free operating system security updates, but did not take any action, on January 15th, a full screen message indicating the end of support will be displayed. Of course, the message is not displayed on a PC entering the domain or on a terminal operating in kiosk mode.
The full-screen warning displayed on January 15 informs users that the PC in use is vulnerable to viruses or malicious codes because there is no security update, software update, or technical support afterwards, and Windows 10 update is strongly recommended. Users can choose to notify later, display detailed information, or notify again when this warning screen appears. Of course, warnings that have not been notified are displayed regularly afterwards.
Business users who purchase Windows 7 Extended Security Update (ESU) or Windows Virtual Desktop for a fee will also receive security updates for up to three years. Office 365 Pro Plus will be available until January 2023 if you have purchased Windows 7 ESU. Google also guarantees Chrome browser operation on Windows 7 until at least July 2021, but it didn’t mention the Chromium-based Edge browser. Related information can be found here .
