Microsoft has released a new version of the web browser Microsoft Edge to the public. It can be downloaded for Windows 10 and macOS.
The new Edge browser, like the Google Chrome browser, is based on open source Chromium. Microsoft has provided an edge browser based on its own developed EdgeHTML engine through Windows 10. However, while chromium-based browsers such as Chrome have a high share, it is more important to run in Chrome than in all browsers that comply with web standards in websites and app applications. Microsoft has also decided to change the resources required to maintain compatibility with its own engines to make sense for user functions, and has continued testing Edge browsers based on chromium.
The new Edge browser supports compatibility and speed, intuitive privacy and security management, extended support, and multi-platform synchronization using Bing integrated Microsoft accounts. Its own function includes a collection function that cuts, edits, and shares content from multiple web pages, but it is not included in this version. It is said to be available soon.
