New coronavirus infection area at a glance…

Since December 2019, the new coronavirus, which has occurred mainly in Wuhan, China, has continued to spread. The Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering, CSSE, has released a map (Coronavirus 2020-nCoV) that visualizes the locations and cases of this new coronavirus infection in real time.

The data sources shown on the map are based on the World Health Organization WHO, the CDC of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the NHC of the National Health and Safety Commission of China, and the Chinese medical information site DXY, and the map was visualized through an open stream map.

The circled dot on the map is the area where the new coronavirus infection was reported. Red circles indicate cases of infection, yellow circles indicate cases of suspected infection, and the size of the circle varies depending on the number of cases. You can zoom in or out on the map by using the + icon or the mouse wheel at the bottom right of the map. If you pull the map, you can see that the infected areas are concentrated in the southern part of China, and cases of infection are also present in Europe, the United States and Australia little by little.

Various statistics are also displayed on the left and right. In the left pane, the trend of the number of infected people is displayed, and you can also see a line graph indicating the trend of the number of infected people. On the right, you can also check the regions with a large number of confirmed patients infected with the novel coronavirus in descending order.

The visualization data is updated daily and you can also download the data in the form of a Google spreadsheet. Related information can be found here .
