MyEye 2 is a hearing aid that OrCam, which is well known as a device for the visually impaired, is introduced and is attached to glasses to help navigate the surroundings.
This product added new features during CES 2020 held in January. In addition to the functions so far, while pointing the camera at text and signboards, it recognizes and informs about faces, objects, and bills. For example, if you ask what is in front of me, the device will answer that there is a door. This product also boosts natural language processing capabilities when conducting interactive speech.
Oacam is also offering support for the hearing impaired through OrCam Hear. Since it identifies and separates the speaker’s voice in a noisy space, conversations in public places are easier. It can also be paired with an existing Bluetooth hearing aid. In the case of the additionally announced OrCam Read, an AI reader that can be carried by hand. Even if you don’t have a camera installed on your glasses, if you carry the device with your hand and shine it on the text, it effectively informs the text content to those who have difficulty reading sentences with dyslexia.
