Amazon Prime video hired by former Hulu CEO

Amazon originally signed a contract with Mike Hopkins, who previously served as Hulu’s CEO and is now chairman of Sony Pictures Television. He has been leading Prime and Studios from this month.

At Amazon, Jeff Blackburn, who has been in charge of business development and digital entertainment, has a sabbatical vacation, and it seems likely that Hopkins will take this role. Hopkins will work at Amazon offices in Seattle and Los Angeles starting February 24, with a focus on helping Amazon Prime Video’s global growth and improving the customer experience.

According to reports, Blackburn tells an Amazon employee that he has more than 20 years of industry experience with Fox, Hulu and Sony, and has a broad track record as a global business leader in media, film and TV. In addition, the recent outflow of talent has been noticeable at Sony Pictures. In addition to Hopkins, bosses Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg moved to Apple TV Plus with several executives in 2017. Even after Hopkins’s departure, Sony Pictures will not have a direct successor for at least for the time being, but will be assigned roles to Keith LeGoy, who is in charge of distribution around the world, and Jeff Frost, who leads US production. Through the monthly AHC PC and HowPC magazine era, he has watched 'technology age' in online IT media such as ZDNet, electronic newspaper Internet manager, editor of Consumer Journal Ivers, TechHolic publisher, and editor of Venture Square. I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
