Respirator valve and protective mask made by Ferrari

Italian car maker Ferrari has started production of ventilator valves and protective mask parts. It was created as a shortage of medical supplies occurred due to a global pandemic. It is produced with a 3D printer, and the familiar Ferrari logo is also engraved.

To support medical workers, Ferrari is manufacturing ventilator valves and parts for protective masks using the 3D printer facility currently in the Maranello plant. It is a practical solution for emergency assistance that can be used where needed. According to Ferrari, some of the valves have been customized to fit Mares’ ventilator masks, which make diving gear. In addition, the logistics was handled by Nuovamacut Gruppo TeamSystem.

These products will be distributed to hospitals around Genoa and Bologna in cooperation with the Italian Civil Protection Agency. In addition, Lamborghini is also producing medical devices such as medical masks and medical shields. Related information can be found here .
