IK Multimedia announced the ARC System 3, a sound field correction system.
Sound field correction is, for example, flowing out of music from a speaker in a room, and the sound varies depending on all factors such as room ging, furniture arrangement, wall material, and distance between the wall and speaker. It prevents the high frequencies from being reduced or the lows from being useless. When making music at home, I will understand these room sound characteristics and then place the speakers, but recently, there have been many systems that do automatic sound field correction. IK Multimedia’s monitor speaker iLoud and boss speaker are the same.

This Arc System 3 is the latest version of the sound field correction system handled by IK Multimedia. Unlike the arc system that has been released so far, it is possible to use anything other than a dedicated microphone. It also added a virtual monitoring function that reproduces the sound heard from TVs and smartphones. In music production, the finished song is played on a variety of devices, and it is checked that it does not sound strange, which can be processed virtually.
Analysis algorithms have also evolved, and data measured at three different heights can be analyzed with volumetric response modeling technology and a 3D snapshot of the room can be created. Of course, it provides a natural sound without feeling the correction. Related information can be found here .
