Apple has announced that it will host its annual developer conference Worldwide Developers Conference (WDC) on June 22nd.
As already officially announced, this year’s WWDC will be held online. The event is open to all developers free of charge through the Apple Developer website and app. At this event, new versions such as iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS will be announced. If updated according to the numbering, iOS14 and WatchOS7 will be released this year. Keynote and session schedule will be released further in June.
At this event, it is also rumored that Apple’s own headphones, tentatively named AirTags, will be announced. The wireless charging pad AirPower, which has been discontinued, may also be revived in two sizes, large and small.
It also announced the Swift Student Challenge, in which student developers participate through Swift coding skills. Winners of this program, who can apply until May 17th, will receive a WWDC 2020 related gift.
As a result of Corona 19, not only Apple but also the developer conference is about to change significantly. There is also an expectation for positive changes, such as a new developer community method unique to online hosting. Related information can be found here .
