Smart window that imitates sunlight lighting

On May 18th, Samsung Electronics announced five C-Lab-born startups supported by C-Lab Inside, an in-house idea incubation program. Among these, the most eye-catching thing is the SunnyFive, a window-type lighting device that can reproduce the appearance of sunlight coming through the window as it is.

Sunny Five was originally announced during CES 2020 under the name SunnySide. This project is independent. Window-type devices that imitate the sun reproduce the appearance of the sky or use scattering to give the impression of showing the blue sky as it is. However, Sunny Five focuses on the sunlight that shines, not just the blue sky.

In Sunny Five, the angle of light changes during the day and can create scenes such as sunrise or sunset. It is said to have the effect of synthesizing vitamin D without worrying about skin aging and UV rays, generating the full spectrum of the sun. It is also possible to dimming through the application program.

Basically, it can be seen that it is the same as the lighting equipment used for the treatment of seasonal emotional disorder SAD, but the information on the product, the expected release date, and the price are not known yet. Related information can be found here .
